    A vintage black & white fold out brochure with photo illustrated front cover. No actual publication date was found. There is a date stamp of October 21. 1939 on the covers and several references in the text suggest it was around the time the dam was in the construction stage.  Issued by the United States Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation.  Unfolds to 12 panels (six on each side).
    Provides the reader lots of historic information about the dam, the project and its benefits to the region. Informative text is augmented by vintage black & white photos.

    Grand Coulee Dam is a gravity dam on the Columbia River in the state of Washington built to produce hydroelectric power and provide irrigation. It was constructed between 1933 and 1942, originally with two power plants. A third power station was completed in 1974 to increase its energy production. It is the largest electric power-producing facility in the United States
    and one of the largest concrete structures in the world.
    The brochure is in good condition.  Modest wear to the covers and interior panels.
