    FROM THE ESTATE OF A WORLD WAR 2 VETERAN IN THE COASTAL ARTILLERY  STATIONED AT FORT WINFIELD SCOTT, THE PRESIDIO IN SAN FRANCISCO DURING WORLD WAR II  WHO LATER SHIPPED OUT TO THE PACIFIC THEATER OF WAR IN 1945.
    HE WAS ALSO EDITOR OF THE BASE NEWSPAPER, THE GOLDEN GATE GUARDIAN AND TOOK NUMEROUS PHOTOGRAPHS IN AND AROUND FORT SCOTT.
    THIS 1941 GOLDEN GATE GUARDIAN NEWSPAPER IS AN EARLY ORIGINAL PRINTED SHORTLY AFTER HE BECAME EDITOR. IT WAS PUBLISHED ABOUT 2 WEEKS AFTER THE ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOR AND JUST BEFORE CHRISTMAS 1941 AS NOTED IN THE SECTION "GOOD NEWS."
