Description
October 17,1941 Martinsburg Journal Newspaper, Martinsburg, West Virginia. U.S. Destroyer Survives Attack Off Greenland Headline. Complete 12 page newspaper with a lot of war news on front page, also national, local news. Articles on front page include: Tojo, New Jap Premier Holds Pro-Axis View; House changes Neutrality Act to allow Merchant Ships to carry defensive weapons; Women to Take Trade Training - preparing women as sheet metal workers for the Fairchild Aircraft plant in Hagerstown, Maryland. Lots of local ads included one for the Grand Opening of the Snow White Grill at Queen and Burke Streets in Martinsburg. This business is still in the same location, now known as the Blue White Grill.G-VG condition. Some edge and corner wear, small edge tears. Has vertical crease as well as normal horizontal fold. The paper is yellowed a little but not brittle. I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). This does NOT necessarily correspond to the generic Ebay grading system that we are forced to use. Shipping is .95 in the U.S.
