    Description

News and Courier Newspaper. Charleston, South Carolina. September 7, 1941. U.S.-German Relations Strained by Greer Incident; Navy Rejects Nazis' Claim U-Boat Fired in Defense is the Headline.  Most of front page is war related articles. 16 page front section of a 40 page Sunday paper with world, national and local news. Includes sports and local ads.  POOR-FAIR
condition with edge and corner wear, some edge tears. Heavy vertical crease as well as the normal horizontal fold. Other creases on the bottom half. Tears at middle of horizontal fold. Some heavy soiling on front page, slight soiling elsewhere. Paper is yellowed but not overly brittle as is usual with paper from this era.  Still you need to carefully open pages to prevent tearing one inside page with a tear at the horizontal fold.   I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). This does NOT necessarily correspond to the generic Ebay grading system that we must use. Shipping is .95 in the U.S.
