  • Conflict: WW II (1939-45)
  • Condition: Oirignal 1945 Painting in very fine conditon. The frame is an all wood frame (all carved wood). The frame is also excellent in conditon. The artist's name is difficult to read, but I believe it to be Miller, with the first name of Halin or Nalin. The frame measures: 17 1/8 inches across, and 20 7/8 inches in height. The painting itself: 14 1/2 wide, and 18 1/4 inches in height. It is dated: 1945, which would have been into the closing year of WWII. The painting has a very glossy surface. There was just a bit of camera flash back. There are no faded or white spots upon this original painting. The artist's signature appears in the last photo, followed by the date of 45 (1945). This painting is 64 years old, and in quite remarkable conditon. There is just a very very small bit of crackle around the area of the signature. You can only see it under high magnification. That would be expected for an original painting of this age.

    Description

This is a remarkable and beautiful original painting. The painting is painted upon wood plywood board (it appears to be an artist's canvas mounted on ply board). That's not traditional but it works perfectly.  It may have been all the artist had if this was painted in the theater of war. I do not know the identity of the Army Captain. It would be a wonderful find for any surviving family members to have this painting. That would be my hope.
I will ship this painting with great care.  Shipping throughout the lower 48 states.  Domestic Shipping by: USPS., UPS., or FedEx., depending upon the delivery address. Thank you...
