June 7, 8, and 10, 1944
This is a lot of three issues of The Stars and Stripes, the daily newspaper of the U. S. Armed Forces in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. These are the June 7, 8, and 10, 1944 issues, the days following D-Day on June 6, 1944.
The newspapers measure 12 1/4 by 18 1/4 inches and have four pages each. The June 8th issue also has a four-page anti-propaganda section inserted.
These issues all have some yellowing with age and minor egde wear. The June 7th issue has the least wear having been folded once vertically and once horizontally. There is only a small one inch tear along the right edge.
The June 8th issue has one horizontal fold, a two inch tear from the bottom edge of the first page of the anti-propaganda section, and a two inch tear from the right edge of the back page.
The June 10th issue has been folded once vertically and once horizontally. The front page is torn almost all the way across the page on the horizontal fold and the back page has a two inch tear from the right edge along the fold.
