Description
For auction is this Canadian Hungarian newspaper from Tuesday, Sept. 20, 1938. The paper features news and articles related to the conflict of World War II (1939-45) and has a focus on militaria. It is an original piece from that time period and was manufactured in Canada. It was printed and published at its office and place of business, 375 Hargrave in Winnipeg, Manitoba, by the Canadian Hungarian News. Co. An independent journal, it was published twice every week in the Magyar language. Circulated in the nine Provinces of the dominion of Canada, it was the largest of all Hungarian papers within the entire British Empire! This four-page newspaper measures 24" tall and 17 1/2" wide per page. This was found in my dad's Navy locker (he served in WWII) and was purchased in Montreal.
