    Description

    Original NY Daily News Clipping
Text of FDR's "Day of Infamy" Speech
On December 8, 1945 President Franklin Roosevelt addressed
a joint session of the U.S. Congress to request a declaration of
war with Japan be approved, justified by their "dastardly" attack
on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii.
This piece is a clipping from that day's New York Times
containing the text of that historic address. On the reverse
of the clipping it also has an article about how the declaration
was passed by several of the members of Congress.
Condition: The paper is folded and has rough edges all around.
It has a 2" tear at the top. It has age toning. In spite of these
things, it is stirring and it pulls at the emotions of anyone who
remembers it, and anyone who cares about American history.
Mounted and behind glass, it would be a fabulous collectible.
