FABULOUS ORIGINAL 1945 USO SHOW ONE-OF-A-KIND PLACARD BERLIN GERMANY

$ 264

Availability: 79 in stock
  • Condition: This is an original placard that was made for the dancer, who was the lead act in a USO show in U.S. occupied Germany, two months after VE day. It measures 28" x 44" and is mounted on a flexible board, but cannot be rolled. The photos on it are original, glossy photos. This probably was displayed on an easel. I purchased it from the dancer's estate. The lettering is all hand-painted and her name is in glitter. It is protected by a clear laminate that is removable on the back, but I have not tried the front. The notes are in the dancer's own hand. Again this is not a poster, but an original placard from just after World War II.100% of the money will be donated to Thursday's Child, an international charity for endangered children, teens and young adults, dealing with suicide, bullying, eating disorders, sexual assault, child abuse, etc.
