    Up for auction is the Original Historic Newspaper Covering D-Day, June 6, 1944.
    This is an original D-Day newspaper published by "The Daily Times" of Davenport, Iowa, which covered the Quad Cities area of Iowa and Illinois.  It contains all of the headlines and news coverage of that historic World War II offensive invasion, including various photographs.  It also covers local history, especially as it related to our local soldiers and the war effort at home.  A full page is devoted to Rock Island and a full page to Moline.  The paper includes sports news, business advertisements, classifieds and other columns you'd typically see in a vintage paper.
