Associated Press Special Edition History of World War II 24 page color covered newspaper insert from October 21, 1945 Sunday edition off the Newport News Daily Press. Wonderful press release packed full of photos, stories, statistics and memorable tide turning events which surrounded the war in all theatres and conflicts. Of course, I can only offer 12 photos, but every page is a history story to itself. I do not know how many different papers in the country ran this special insert.
