Incredible 1945 Los Angeles Examiner Newspaper Book from June 1st, 1945 to September 15th, 1945. The Japanese surrendered on August 15th, 1945 (V-J Day). This book contains the Los Angeles Examiner original newspapers through that time period. It appears complete except for a few pages that have been clipped and a few are that are torn. I have no way to verify if every issued paper is included, but they appear in sequence and a 36 page PEACE insert dated August 14th is bound in sequence.Every page is included, with war news, editorials and letters, ads, announcements, comics, etc. depicting the life and times during the end of the war in the Pacific. It is an amazing snapshot in time.
The book is 21 1/2 inches by 16 1/2 inches and is 2 3/4 inches thick. I estimate between 800-1,200 pages. The paper is very thin and compressed the paper stack is 2 inches thick. The book weighs16 lb 5 1/2 oz.

CONDITION:
Used, a few pages have been clipped, usually a small portion. A few pages are torn, and the paper is quite faded. There are ink drops on the front cover and some fraying at the top and bottom of the back. I have not verified every issue but it appears to be all as originally bound
.
