A press clipping from the Cleveland News Thursday June 21, 1945. On one side is an article about the winning of the Okinawa and 90,000 Japanese killed, and this is likely why the clipping was cut and saved. On the opposite side is a photograph of three '8th Air Force Clevelanders Home Again', they are left to right Technical Sergeant George J Sharkus, 1st Sgt Ted Zeman, First Lieutenant Jack H. Whittle and Captain Joseph Micksch. They arrived in New York the day before on the Queen Mary in a contingent of 14,526 of servicemen and women returning from Europe. Seller is selling the clip because of the photograph. Crease on the photograph, with one big fold crease, browning and same on the rest of the clipping.
