The Judean (Kosher) Talit Big (Thales Gadol) is a quadrangular prayer cover with tassels (tsitzit) used by Jews during the morning prayers of Shaharit or other religious rites commanded by the Torah.
Talit should gently cover the shoulders of the worshiper.
According to the commandment of the Torah (Devarim “Deuteronomy” 22:12) saying:“Thou shalt put tassels on the four corners of the hem of thy mantle, with which thou art covered.”“
“You shall make yourself twisted threads, on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself”” the Jews sewed specially woven brushes (tzitzit) to the corners of a square raincoat.
Tsitsit symbolizes the 613 commandments of the Torah and does not allow to forget about the need to observe them:
'Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them throughout their generations fringes in the corners of their garments, and that they put with the fringe of each corner a thread of blue. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye go not about after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go astray" (Numbers 15: 38-39)
Currently, the Judean Talit (thales) is used as a ritual vestment of white with blue, dark blue or black stripes.
On the upper part, a Hebrew blessing is woven in gold:
ברוך אתה ד 'אלוקינו מלך העולם, אשר נו במצוותיו וציוווו להת בציצית
Blessed are you, our Lord of God, you are committed to yourself with fringes.
    Barukh ata Adonai Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu l'hit'atef ba'tzitzit.
