May 8, 1943 issuePhiladelphia Record
Vintage 12 page newspaper from Philadelphia. Some normal wear from storage, a bit worn at the edges but still a very decent reading copy; on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate it a solid 7.
Some contents/highlights:
TUNIS, BIZERTE FALL
U.S. Siezes Isle within bomber range of Japan
Allah Akbar! The Yanks are Here! (locals very happy to see the American and British troops)
Maxwell triplets from Philadelphia are a triple threat to the Axis powers
The Bahaman Negroes have been moved to a Farm Security Administration camp in Swedesboro, NJ. They are credited with saving the asparagus crop!
Hero U.S. Commander sacrifices his life going down with his sub after ramming Jap ship
Nazis on alert for invasion across the channel
Very cool to look at the vintage stories, ads, sale notices, etc in these old World War II newspapers!

Thanks for bidding and have a great day!!
Note on shipping:
I ship most books by Media Mail; which normally takes 5 to 10 days for delivery. However, once in a great while media mail can take several weeks; so please be patient! My only alternative to Media Mail is to significantly raise my shipping & handling rates; which I prefer not to do. Lightweight books, comics & postcards (anything less than about 11oz) goes First Class Mail.
