    Description

    Original newspaper ad for a two performances by "The All-American Trumpet Star" Dizzy Gillespie and His Orchestra at the Danceland Club in Manitou Beach / Saskatchewan, Canada on April 20th and 21st, 1948.
    The 73-year old ad measures roughly 2 x 3.75 inches and is in very good + / excellent condition; free of any paper tears with a mild horizontal crease remnant at its center. The reverse features movie listings with Burt Lancaster in "Brute Force" and Yvonne DeCarlo in "Slave Girl" with a handwritten notation stating the ad originates from the April 10, 1948 issue of the "Standard Montreal" newspaper (see scan 2).
