Description
Perhaps the most far-reaching event in the 20th century. Very difficult, if not rare newspaper the morning after the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. Note: papers dated August 7 for the event that occurred previous day.Dallas Morning News. The story of the bomb is described on both sides of a single page. Page A1 and A2 I ran both sides of the same sheet. This was added on top of the already scheduled and print it mundane August 7 front page. As this cover page was done on the fly, there is no mention of the bomb in any of the other pages of the paper.

Note: shipping of the folded paper lower left edge; see photo. There is a hard to see folded piece of clear tape added sometime in the past to prevent further chipping over the same area. I’ve had this paper for 25 years and there is minimal staining from the tape. It does not detract. The usual browning from age. Otherwise paper is very readable.
