From the beginning of its service, the Midway played key roles in the Cold War. In 1946 it became the first American carrier to operate in the midwinter sub-Arctic, developing new flight deck procedures.
This is an exceptionally rare OPERATION  FROSTBITE supplement to the ship's newsletter. I have several others in the first run of newsletters that are listed for sale in my store.
Important Notes for Buyers:
Newsletter is from the estate of a USS Midway former sailor and plankowner (a member of the first crew to man a US Navy ship.) Note - the manila envelope with the sailors name is not included and is only shown as proof of provenance.
