RARE VERY LARGE ANTIQUE MANCHESTER TERRIER OIL PAINTING ON FIRE SCREEN 1890

Description

This is a very large original antique folding fire screen featuring a circular head study, of a Manchester Terrier / Black and Tan Terrier, dating to circa 1890 this superb original antique is overall size approx. 25" high x 26" wide  it is good original condition, the Manchester Terrier and the surrounding scene of flowers are hand painted in oil on what is probably a papier mache backing, which consists of three folding hinged screens, there is light wear to the perimeter of some areas of the screen as can be seen in our photo and there is some old scratching and marking to the head study of the dog again as can be seen in our photo, this is a beautiful and very rare early Manchester Terrier dog antique.
