    Description

    Vintage Persian Yazd Style Pottery Hand Painted Tile
    This beautiful tile is done in the style of Yazd pottery (provenance unknown).  The beautiful woman representing the sun is surrounded by birds and fish and flowers in shades of blue and green with a touch of purple.  It is a wonderful piece to display either standalone or as a centerpiece in a tile backsplash.  Currently the tile is backed in felt so it could also be used as a trivet as well.
    The tile is in very good vintage condition.  Colors are vibrant.  No chips or cracks.  There is light crazing.  Edges of the tile are rough in spots.  See pictures for details.
