    This piece of vintage jewelry is a pin/brooch signed by the Russian artist, which I cannot read. Lacquer painting is an old Russian folk art begun in the 16th century. Lovely pin is an oval in black lacquer with a hand-painted flower design. Beautifully painted and detailed flowers are peach colored with shades of green leaves. Border is decoratively edged in gold leaf. Pin closes with a c-clasp with a second loop out from the closure set diagonally. I presume this might be to prevent getting a stick from the sharp pin. Piece is in excellent vintage condition. Comes in gift box.
