    Description

    Original letter and newspaper sent from Camp Carson, Colorado to Cincinnati Ohio by P.F.C Robert E. Cobbe during July 1944.
    The letter dated July 20, 1944 contains 3 pages and is in nice condition. It discusses happenings around the camp, potential for moving locations, a new tank, and reference to the enclosed newspaper. The newspaper dated July 20, 1944 has crease marks due to being envelope mailed home, however it is very clean and there is minimal damage at the folds and could be flattened.
    Robert was a Cincinnati Ohio native who served in the U.S. Army with the 104th Timberwolf Infantry Division, Company B, 414th Infantry Regiment during WWII 1943-1945. He was deployed to Europe in the fall of 1944, traveling through France, Belgium, Holland to fight in Germany, and was a Bronze Star recipient.
