    peaceful pecan orchards, ,this Advanced Training Center of the
    Southeast Army Air Forces Training Center has been one of the
    most productive in turning out pilots and. navigators for the Nation’s
    Sky Armada.
    Turner Field was named after Second lieutenant Sullins Preston
    Turner, a popular ‘Georgian who lost his life in the line of duty.
    Colonel John B. Patrick is Commanding Officer of Turner
    Field. He is both a Command Pilot and Combat Observer.
    The enlisted personnel of the field have been rated amongst
    the best in the Southeast Army Air Forces Training Center. They
    “Keep ‘Em Flying” twenty-four hours a day.
